My 56th year of this journey in life finds me living in the outskirts of metro Atlanta and making an hour drive 5 days a week into the city to work. I have been married 14 years to a man 9 years younger than me who besides being a big nut also drives into the city to work. We love living in what we call “out in the country” even though we are in a subdivision and there is a Kroger’s shopping center a mile from our home..

My title in my profession is Cardiovascular Specialist which means I am an x ray technologist that works in a cardiac cath lab. This career was not my intention when I graduated from high school, I had gone to modeling school and was headed for a career in the world of fashion merchandising. A drunk driver got in the way of that endeavor for me and after recovering from 4 surgeries, multiple hospital stays and 2 years of crutches and a cane from 2 broken legs and a broken back, I was curious about the medical profession and here I am today, 30 years later, loving what I do and my job.

I am “mommy” to 3 precious “girls”. Simba 12, Whitney 4 and Kaci 1 and a half. They were all 3 adopted from the animal shelter and yep, they are dogs. Dogs that I am as crazy about as a mother is of her own children!I am not able to have any of those and I dunno nothin’ about birthin’ no babies! I do have 2 grown up step kids that live in Nebraska that we are in touch with almost daily thanks to cell phones!

I am serious about my relationship with Jesus and love studying the Bible and will someday see the mansion He has been preparing for me. I love to write and maybe in my 60′s will publish a book that I have written and stored in a cardboard box. I also love to take pictures and hope to get real serious about that in the near future.

Some of my friends encouraged me to start a blog so we’ll see how it goes!
