Yep, you will definitely need it when you go see the movie Fireproof by the same church group , Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany,GA that did Facing The Giants. It is a tremendously good movie about turning to God with a troubled marriage and how He turned their lives around. It is a must see and one to tell all your friends, family and neighbors about too!
We had an opportunity to see the premiere of the movie last Friday night at the Fox and to see the actors and the Kendrick brothers along with a lot of the church members and the Truitt Cathey family. It was a great night and we were so moved by the film and hearing the stories of all the people involved in the movie.
You can go to the website “fireproofthemovie.com and learn more. They asked us all, over 2000, that evening to get the word out to everyone and encourage our churches small groups as well as everyone else to go see this movie. We plan to go when it opens on the 26th of this month and take some friends and neighbors.
One thing that impressed us that evening is Kirk Cameron’s talk after the movie, he is truly on fire for God to save marriages in this country. He told us that he had vowed to never let his lips touch another woman’s lips and there was one kissing scene in the movie. His wife was able to fly in to Albany, put on the same dress the wife character played and donned a brown wig and Kirk held true to his vow and kissed his own wife, that was very special!
So, here’s hoping that each one of you will go to the website, get fired up over it and tell all your friends, family and neighbors about it too.
God is working in an awesome way with this one. They have made a study with DVD’s on this topic of fireproofing your marriage and have written a journal that will be available to purchase in the bookstores that was in the movie called The Love Dare.
Maybe we’ll see you at the theater and oh…..don’t forget those kleenex!! Even the men in the theater that night were sniffling!
